Die Lichtquelle wird durch einen Diffusor aus Polycarbonat verdeckt. Die Farben für den PC Portable wurden speziell auf die Outdoor-Möbel von Hay abgestimmt. In Cremeweiß strahlt die Leuchte ein angenehmes Umgebungslicht ab, während die Leuchte in Schwarz und Olive für blendfreies nach unten gerichtetem Licht sorgt. Mit einem integrierten Touch-Step-Dimmschalter am Lampenfuß lässt sich zudem die Lichtintensität steuern. In weiteren ansprechenden Farben erhältlich.

designer I want to design objects that can easily span the
border between home, office, public space, outdoor and
indoor. The PC Lamp is a nice example of this limitless
design vision.”

as a part of the domestic landscape. I wanted the object to
be readable as a whole – in French I would say ‘a silhouette.’
Color plays a very important role in expressing that, as using
a single color helps to unify the different elements and
